Mobile Phone Xchange

Mobile Phone Xchange ReviewVisit Mobile Phone Xchange website

We’ve only heard good things so far about the Mobile Phone Xchange, certainly a reputable company.  Reports being that they pay quickly, don’t tend to change the price by downgrading the quality of your phone and they pay quickly and give you the BACS option.  We all know what a pain cheques can be, so if you sell your mobile you’re guaranteed to get cash in the bank.

The Mobile Phone Xchange site is rather nice and you can easily search for your old mobile that you’re looking to sell.  The prices are hight and you also have the option to exchange you old mobile for vouchers such as Marks and Spencer, Argos and Debenhams.  For example if you want to sell a Nokia N95, the cash price is £88 (at time of writing), and alternative is £102 in Debenhams vouchers, so a nice alternative indeed.

If you’ve used the Mobile Phone Xchange service then please leave a review and/or rate below.

Absoluate thieves! Should be rated at 0 stars

They have now had my phone for over a week and it has not been processed.

First they tried to claim that they had not received it (they had it was signed for at point of delivery by one of their own employees, I have proof of delivery)

Then it has been one excuse after another. I have now requested my phone to be sent back to me as I do not want to deal with this company any more.

Now they claim they can’t return the phone until it has been processed.

Absolute thieves and frauds stay away from this lot.

DO NOT USE THIS SITE!! CONARTISTS
I was told my phone had LCD issues and was displaying a black screen and was offered a measly £13 after being originally quoted £79. I refused this knowing I had sent a fully functioning phone in excellent condition. After arguing my case and being told that their experienced ‘engineers’ had re-examined my phone and found it to have LCD issues they tried to offer me £33 to cover their admin costs that we would incur if they sent the phone back to me. I knew my phone was worth more and took the gamble of getting them to send me my phone back.

I received it today and it works perfectly. So glad that I did not fall for this scam and I will be selling it elsewhere. Do not use this company!

    TOTAL SCAM!

TERRIBLE company. Do not ignore these reviews. I was offered £51 for a blackberry 8520. The phone was in good condition and with no scratches. I received an email revising the offer to £17! When I rang up to request the phone back they suddenly were able to increase the offer to £37 as they had overestimated repair costs. When the telephone was returned the screen had been replaced with a severely scratched screen. The phone is now worthless. COMPLETE SCAM.

I sent off my iPhone 4 after being quoted over £130. Like so many before they then said Imy phone was damaged and offered me an insulting £29! Unhappy with this I asked for my phone back only to be told they’d dispatched my phone in error so I could either accept £29 or they’d send me a faulty handset! Outraged I contacted the CEO of Vodafone as this was arranged through Vodafone BUYBACK. Someone called me & agreed I’d been treated poorly as I’d pointed out my bills showed I’d used my phone continuously till it was sent off therefore was NOT faulty and they compensated me £100 on the understanding I’d receive the other £29 from MPX. I emailed MPX yet they blatantly ignored me, not once or twice but 3 times! Eventually I called & spoke to someone who said I hadn’t agreed to the sale – funny that rule only applies re the money transfer & not the unagreed dispatch of my phone! Anyway I’ve reported this to citizens advice and trading standards as I’m appealed at the similar stories I’ve found online! I should also add I left my story on their Facebook page & they simply deleted it – professional till the end!

    ROBBING B******S!!!!! AND COMPLETE FRAUDSTERS!!!!!!

My phone was 100% in top class working condition befor i sent it! Requested the phone be sent back with immeadiate effect! Got the phone back and suprise suprise ALL buttons were fine! DO NOT TRUST THEM!!!!! will be posting this on every website available and contacting trading standards!

STAY AWAY AS THEY WILL LIE AND STEAL FROM YOU!!!!!

Was offered £48 – best on when I compared against other websites. They then said there was water damage (phone has never been in contact with water and working fine for me) and offered me £20. Think they are relying on people not being bothered to then request for the phone back and sending to another site and taking their terrible second offers.

I recently searched mobile comparison sites for the best deal to recycle my Iphone 3gs 16Gb. Mobile phone Xchange looked like a reputable company with a good valuation of £71. I sent the phone in MPX packaging using special delivery as per their recommendations. I tracked the package online an had confirmation that the package had been delivered the following day but MPX set me an email that night stating that the handset hasn’t arrived!

I received notification for MPX a few days later saying that the new valuation was £15 due to major damage of the handset with a picture included. I immediately replied stating that this handset has been kept in a rugged case and the screen guards have been regularly replaced since new. Their response was to increase the valuation to £36 because of administration cost they will incur if they have to return the handset.

I have recycled approx 5 personal and 40 commercial handsets in the past 12 months and MPX are by far the worst. I strongly recommend you avoid recycling your handset with MPX regardless of valuation price.

wish i had read the reviews befor posting my phone to them .how can they say there is a delay if you send by recorded post .because they have to sign for it ..its been 8 days now they stopped my feed back on there site so they know how it workes ..a scam i think dont hold any hopes of a decent price ..trading standerds here i come ,i have beat bigger companies than them

  9. Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor.

  10. Issac Maez says:

I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)

Classic rip off. Avoid at all costs. Was offered a derisory amount compared to what was offered online on the basis that in thier opinion the screen was scratched. £6 instead of £23. Then offered £16 which I declined and asked for my phone back. This has now come but without the charger, earphones and other accessories I sent. I feel totally cheated.

  12. George says:

Please DONT EVER send a phone to these jokers was quoted £61 pound for my nokia N95 8GB to be then offered just £11 pound once they recieved the phone telling me the case was cracked which it wasnt also tring to say something about water damage when the phone was in perfect working order. They did want 10 pound to return the phone as they send them recorded delivery but after arguing got it sent back for nothing. NEVER agree to them upping the ammount as i’ve seen reviews stating people had been offered more but once you agree to the sale they send the amount first quoted. I WISH I HAD SEEN THE REVIEWS EVERYWHERE SAYING HOW BAD THEY ARE IF I JUST STOP 1 PERSON USING THEM THEN I WILL BE HAPPY. Terrible awful experiance please look @ Envirophone used then twice in the past with ease and paid in full what i was quoted. My greed made me look elsewhere just for a couple of pound. MOBILE PHONE EXCHANGE WILL OVER QUOTE THE VALUE OF YOUR PHONE TO BEAT THE COMPETITION THEN OFFER YOU PEANUTS WHEN ITS IN THEIR HANDS>

  13. Lisa says:

Don’t use them. I should have realised it was too good to be true. They promised £111 for my iPhone 3GS 16GB, I packaged it in the original box, bubble wrapped the box then sent it in my own padded envelope, not the little tiny envelope they sent me. After paying £5.90 to post my phone special delivery I checked their website which said they were only to give me £44 !!! I phoned up and spoke to some cocky young lad who told me the “back casing was cracked”. Poppycock. There was no crack when I sent it, I packaged it well so it wouldn’t get damaged and now they claim there was a crack. Nonsense. I asked them to return my phone…..I wonder if they will deliberately damage it before they send it back to justify their claim, or out of spite.
I wish I’d had the sense to take a photo of the phone before I sent it.

  14. Ash says:

I sent them a phone late November said screen was broken! Before sending took pictures, showed women in postoffice and had her sign receipt they offered me 9pound didn’t except was waiting to goto and pick my phone up, got an email saying full amount would be sent in cheque just tryingto con me, still waiting on cheque if not received by Monday will be showing up at there offices, also say 10 to return on front page says if not 100% happy will return for free, if they won’t it’s false advertising along with everything else, you could have the iem number or what it’s called traced by apple and get them to prove it ain’t stolen would not give up try every option

  15. Arthur says:

    “Compleate cheats and conmen”

I sold my iphone they oferd me a good price after receiviong the phone they said its Blocked stolen i have had this phone for 2 years used it on vodephone network no problems when i done a checkmend report on it the results came back with no blocked phone and it wasent stolen they refuse to return the phone they keep it for 28 days then if no resolution to the case they can sell it on robing Bas+++ds companies like that should not be aloud to rip off customers i got robbed and cheated lost my phone and they profit from it

  16. Kate says:

I would NOT recommend using this company. They promised a good price then tried to offer me less than HALF. When I negotiated I was offered more but they put the inital amount in my account. Choose another company

  17. Chris Russell says:

Awful company – was offered £60 debenhams vouchers for Nokia n97 then when they got it they said it it was broken (no details) and offered me £10! They took weeks to get back to me and finally came back offering me £25 cash. Still i refused and said i wanted my phone back, they then replied saying they no longer had it and offered me £35 cash, finally after emailing back and forward, i feared i would not get anything from them and accepted their last offer of £45 cash. However it was added to the Debenhams card and i was told they wouldn’t change it to cash. They are a complete rip off! DO NOT USE!
